How we test
Same prospect, same form, same clock, every offer. Here's exactly what we do and how the score works.
1. Who gets tested
About 50 high-ticket offers a month ($2k+ coaching, consulting, agency and info programs) that advertise publicly and use an opt-in or application funnel. Teams can also opt in. Offers that ask us not to test them are removed.
2. The test lead
- One dedicated test identity per season: a real name, a dedicated phone number and inbox used only for testing.
- We answer qualifying questions honestly and in neutral terms. We never claim income, revenue, budget or credit we don't have. Where a form requires those, we pick the lowest or "prefer not to say" option, or we skip the offer.
- We never book a call slot we won't attend, never take a sales call under false pretences, and never buy anything.
3. The clock
The clock starts at the second the form is submitted (server-logged) and stops at each touch: inbound call (answered or missed), SMS, email, DM. All touches are logged with timestamps for 7 days.
| Metric | Definition |
|---|---|
| First human touch | First live call or a clearly human-written SMS/email |
| First touch (any) | Includes automations |
| Touches · 24h | All attempts in the first 24 hours |
| Persistence | Attempts on days 2–7 |
4. Score (0–100)
Speed 50 (≤5 min = 50, then linear decay to 0 at 24h) · Persistence 20 · Channel mix 15 (call+SMS+email) · Quality 15 (personalised, referenced our answers, clear next step; scored by an LLM against a fixed rubric, then human-checked). The board ranks by first human touch, and score breaks ties.
5. What we publish
- Top 25 by name, only if they called back within 24h.
- Hall of Shame: totals only, no names, ever.
- Every tested offer gets a private scorecard. Teams can dispute a result within 14 days and we correct errors publicly.
6. Stack rankings
The Stack pages rank tools with a weighted rubric shown on each page. Scores are our editorial judgment, based on the vendor's public pricing and feature pages (linked and dated). They are not user reviews or test results. Affiliate relationships are disclosed and don't affect scores.
